4 Reasons Your Social Media isn’t Growing

Are you struggling to make your social media accounts grow? Don’t fret, this is a common struggle for real estate agents like us when starting out on social media. It can be really difficult to build your brand and find your market online when starting from scratch. There are many factors that can impact your account growth, including niche, posting frequency, platform, size, or audience demographic, to name a few.

But it’s definitely possible to conquer these challenges by identifying the reasons why your social media accounts aren’t growing. Here are four that you can work on today!

1. You’re not posting consistently

The first reason your social media account isn’t growing is because you aren’t posting consistently. It’s important to post consistently because the algorithm values consistent posting. In other words, you’ll show up on other people’s social feeds more if you have a regular posting schedule.

It’s a misconception to think that you have to post every day to be consistent. You just need to decide how regularly you can post and follow it. For example, three times a week. The content of your post should also be consistent and relevant to your target audience.

2. You’re not engaging with others enough

How often do you like, comment, or share other people’s posts and how often do you reply to comments on your posts? Another important factor for the algorithm is to be interactive with other accounts. When you interact and engage with others organically, you are helping your account reach more people and build a community of your own.

3. You don’t have a strong call-to-action

You might be missing a key component in your content: a strong call to action. Always be clear about what action you want your followers to take. It can be as simple as liking or sharing your post, while you can also urge them to visit your website or send you a message.

4. Not utilizing features like stories or live videos

Many social media platforms have features like stories and live videos that can help you engage with your audience in real-time. If you’re not using these features, you could be missing out on opportunities to connect with your followers.

There are many factors that can impact the growth of your social media following. By addressing these potential issues and consistently posting quality content, engaging with your audience, and utilizing features like stories or live videos, you can increase your reach and grow your social media presence.
