As a realtor, feedback is important and getting to know your audience well puts you at an advantage. One way to do this is by conducting polls using your Instagram Stories. Here are some of the ways how polls can help you with your real estate business:

1. It boosts your engagement.

Creating a poll encourages interaction; hence, it boosts the engagement of your social media page. Since you are asking a question or getting their opinion on a topic, they are encouraged to give their answers. Also, polls, unlike a normal question post, is easier to interact with as most poll types only require the audience to click on their preferred answer.

2. It helps you get to know your audience better.

You can use your poll to get to know your audience better by asking about their preferences. Make it beneficial for your business by asking things about real estate. A sample topic could be the type of open house they prefer – whether personal or virtual. Or the type of property that they are looking for. Or ask them about the things that hinder them from buying their first home. Just be creative in thinking of topics and ensure that the polls you create will help you get to know your audience better.

3. It lets you receive real-time feedback.

Since IG Stories are only visible for 24 hours, you get to receive real-time feedback. Once your audience sees the poll, they can immediately respond. And since there is a sense of urgency, this can be best used when you have an upcoming event or campaign that needs the opinions of your audience.

Aside from asking for your audience’s feedback, you can also use your IG Story polls to educate your audience. Conduct a mini quiz about real estate. When you use the quiz poll option, the correct answer will be shown after they click on their chosen answer. Hence, they will be able to immediately confirm whether or not they got it right. This is a simple yet fun way to educate them about the industry.

But if you think educating them about real estate facts is too nerdy, you can also use the quiz poll to introduce yourself to your audience. Use it to share facts and trivia about yourself. It is a great way to connect with your audience.
