When should you ask for a client testimonial?

In the world of real estate, client testimonials are gold as it adds to your credibility as a trusted agent. People will more likely listen to other buyers like them when it comes to recommendations on the best agents.

For you to build trust through client testimonials, it is important to know when you should ask for a client testimonial.

1. After closing on a property

Even before you arrive at the last stage of the homebuying process, keep reminding your clients throughout the whole process that you’d love a review after closing. This will eventually make the review request more natural. After closing, send them a personalized email to express your appreciation to them for trusting you as their agent and remind them of the review.

2. After showing your client their first home

Checking out the home with your client will provide ample time to discuss the homebuying process. It is a great opportunity to showcase everything that you are able to do and can do to help the client with his/her home buying journey. This is also the time when you can ask them for a review. Afterward, send them an email to formally request the review.

3. After giving a real estate advice

Giving out real estate advice might seem like a small task but this can also be an opportunity for you to ask for a testimonial. If you think that you have become a big help to someone, ask them if they can provide a review for you.
